About Wrapped Bitcoin

Wrapped Bitcoin is a tokenized representation of bitcoin on Ethereum and other compatible networks, backed 1:1 by BTC held in custody. WBTC allows Bitcoin exposure to be used inside DeFi protocols, lending markets, and smart-contract applications without leaving tokenized form. It became a bridge between Bitcoin capital and Ethereum-based finance.
