About Wrapped HYPE
Wrapped HYPE is the ERC-20 representation of HYPE, HyperEVM's gas coin, produced by a wrapper contract that holds the coin one-for-one. Smart contracts cannot handle a native coin directly, so WHYPE is what decentralised exchanges and lending markets on HyperEVM actually trade. It has no custodian: the wrapper contract itself holds the backing.
